The Miami-Dade police department also said Beckham appeared to be coming in and out of consciousness.<\/p>\n<p>He was not charged or detained. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/4bhNMyKuem\" target=\"_blank\">pic.twitter.com\/4bhNMyKuem<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; USA TODAY Sports (@usatodaysports) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/usatodaysports\/status\/1597240256629067776?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">November 28, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Flight crew subsequently raised the alarm to 911.<\/p>\n<p>Wide receiver Beckham, one of the most popular players among the NFL fans, played for <a href=\"https:\/\/7sport.net\/en\/nfl\/team\/new-york-giants\/\">New York Giants<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/7sport.net\/en\/nfl\/team\/cleveland-browns\/\">Cleveland Browns<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/7sport.net\/en\/nfl\/team\/los-angeles-rams\/\">Los Angeles Rams<\/a> during his career.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Miami-Dade Police Department, officers were called to the airport in response to a \u2018medical emergency\u2019 following flight crew concerns that Beckham was seriously ill.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe flight crew was concerned for a passenger [Mr. Odell Beckham Jr], as they tried to wake him to fasten his seat belt, he appeared to be coming in and out of consciousness, prior to their departure,\u201d a statement from the Miami-Dade Police Department read.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFearing that Mr. Beckham was seriously ill, and that his condition would worsen through the expected 5-hour flight, the attendants called for police and fire rescue.
