Details here:<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/wlbn6HaxqP\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/t.co\/wlbn6HaxqP<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; International Tennis Integrity Agency (@itia_tennis) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/itia_tennis\/status\/1597927545860935680?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">November 30, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<div class=\"article-s4-rs mb-5 md:mb-3 -md:common-container\">The 39-year-old former world No. 7 has accepted a voluntary ban until January 8, 2023, after his urine sample collected at an ATP Challenger event in Rio de Janeiro in February was found to have contained the banned substance methylphenidate.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<div class=\"article-s4-rs mb-5 md:mb-3 -md:common-container\">ITIA said that Verdasco explained that he had been diagnosed with attention deficit\/hyperactivity disorder. To treat the condition, he had used methylphenidate as a TUE with a prescription from his doctor.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"article-s4-rs mb-5 md:mb-3 -md:common-container\">However, he had neglected to renew the TUE when it expired.
