Seven-time major champion Inbee Park announced on Tuesday that she and husband and coach Gi Hyeob Nam, are expecting their first child.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are thrilled to announce that we will be welcoming new member of our family,\u201d Park wrote. \u201cThank you all for so much support and love.\u201d the 34-year-old Olympic gold medalist and LPGA Hall of Famer, wrote.<\/p>\n
Park married Nam in 2014.<\/p>\n
In 2022, Park played a reduced schedule as the former world No. 1 slipped to No. 32 in the world rankings.<\/p>\n
A season after notching a win and two runners-up among eight top-10s, Park teed it up in just 15 times on the LPGA this season with five missed cuts and only three top-10s.<\/p>\n
She withdrew from the U.S. Women\u2019s Open, opting to take a few weeks off to work on her game; it was the first major she\u2019d skipped since the 2017 Evian.<\/p>\n
And she hasn\u2019t played anywhere since the AIG Women\u2019s Open in early August.
