{"id":395242,"date":"2022-12-16T14:37:50","date_gmt":"2022-12-16T19:37:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/7sport.net\/ca\/?post_type=news&#038;p=395242"},"modified":"2023-03-01T09:28:56","modified_gmt":"2023-03-01T14:28:56","slug":"steelers-quarterback-pickett-doubtful-for-week-15-game-vs-panthers","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/7sport.net\/en\/news\/steelers-quarterback-pickett-doubtful-for-week-15-game-vs-panthers\/","title":{"rendered":"Steelers quarterback Pickett doubtful for Week 15 game vs Panthers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Rookie starting quarterback <a href=\"https:\/\/7sport.net\/en\/nfl\/player\/kenny-pickett\/\">Kenny Pickett<\/a> is listed as doubtful for the Steelers Week 15 game versus the <a href=\"https:\/\/7sport.net\/en\/nfl\/team\/carolina-panthers\/\">Carolina Panthers<\/a>, Pittsburgh head coach Mike Tomlin said on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>The 24-year-old remains in the concussion protocol after taking a huge hit in last Sunday\u2019s loss against the <a href=\"https:\/\/7sport.net\/en\/nfl\/team\/baltimore-ravens\/\">Baltimore Ravens<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It is the second time this season that Pickett has suffered a concussion.<\/p>\n<p>Tomlin also noted that the team would have more clarity about the quarterback position after Saturday\u2019s walkthrough.<\/p>\n<p>If Pickett fails to recover, it will come down to <a href=\"https:\/\/7sport.net\/en\/nfl\/player\/mitch-trubisky\/\">Mitch Trubisky<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/7sport.net\/en\/nfl\/player\/mason-rudolph\/\">Mason Rudolph<\/a> with one of them getting the start.<\/p>\n<p>Trubisky has been a starter this season but played a dreadful game in place of Pickett last week.
