{"id":398865,"date":"2023-02-06T14:45:37","date_gmt":"2023-02-06T19:45:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/7sport.net\/ca\/?post_type=news&#038;p=398865"},"modified":"2023-03-01T09:34:32","modified_gmt":"2023-03-01T14:34:32","slug":"tom-brady-to-begin-fox-broadcasting-job-in-2024","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/7sport.net\/en\/news\/tom-brady-to-begin-fox-broadcasting-job-in-2024\/","title":{"rendered":"Tom Brady to begin Fox Broadcasting job in 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Just a few days after announcing his retirement from the NFL, <a href=\"https:\/\/7sport.net\/en\/nfl\/player\/tom-brady\/\">Tom Brady<\/a> revealed he plans to take a gap year from any job related to football and won\u2019t begin his broadcast gig with Fox until the fall of 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Seven-time Super Bowl champion Brady said he met with Fox executives last week and now intends to take the next 18 months or so to focus on other aspects of his life before making his highly anticipated debut in the booth with the network.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDecompression is important,&#8221; he told soon-to-be Fox colleague Colin Cowherd on &#8220;The Gerd&#8221; &#8220;You\u2019re on this really crazy treadmill\/hamster wheel for a long time, loving the journey and loving the moment, but at the same time there\u2019s a daily fight.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think for me, I want to be great at what I do and even talking last week with the people at Fox Sports and the leadership there allowing me to start my Fox opportunity in the fall of 2024 is something that\u2019s great for me.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;So I\u2019ll take some time to really learn, become great at what I want to do and become great at thinking about the opportunity and making sure I don\u2019t rush into anything.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Last summer, Brady and Fox agreed to a 10-year deal worth $375 million.
