{"id":411905,"date":"2023-02-08T13:43:58","date_gmt":"2023-02-08T18:43:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/7sport.net\/ca\/?post_type=news&#038;p=411905"},"modified":"2023-03-01T09:37:52","modified_gmt":"2023-03-01T14:37:52","slug":"qb-mahomes-closes-to-full-health-says-chiefs-coach-reid","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/7sport.net\/en\/news\/qb-mahomes-closes-to-full-health-says-chiefs-coach-reid\/","title":{"rendered":"QB Mahomes &#8220;close to full health&#8221;, says Chiefs coach Reid"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/7sport.net\/en\/nfl\/team\/kansas-city-chiefs\/\">Kansas City Chiefs<\/a> quarterback <a href=\"https:\/\/7sport.net\/en\/nfl\/player\/patrick-mahomes\/\">Patrick Mahomes<\/a> is close to full health ahead of Sunday&#8217;s Super Bowl matchup with the <a href=\"https:\/\/7sport.net\/en\/nfl\/team\/philadelphia-eagles\/\">Philadelphia Eagles<\/a>, the team&#8217;s head coach Andy Reid said Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>The 27-year-old Mahomes suffered a high ankle sprain in the divisional-round win over the <a href=\"https:\/\/7sport.net\/en\/nfl\/team\/jacksonville-jaguars\/\">Jacksonville Jaguars<\/a> but was able to finish the game after briefly exiting.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Yeah, so he&#8217;s been doing really well with his ankle,&#8221; Reid said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We had a fast practice a couple days ago, and he moved well. He can really do just about everything, at least everything in the game plan that we&#8217;ve asked him to do. I definitely can move around better than I was moving last week or two weeks ago.
