Seven-times world champion Lewis Hamilton refused to deny rumors that he’s involved in British billionaire Jim Ratcliffe’s proposed takeover of Manchester United.<\/p>\n
After a difficult start to the 2022\/23 English Premier League\u00a0season, takeover rumors have dogged the Red Devils with\u00a0Ratcliffe, owner of INEOS company, considered the most likely candidate and Hamilton a possible partner.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m very close to\u00a0Jim,\u201d\u00a0Hamilton told reporters. \u201cI\u2019m aware of where he is at, and we talked a lot about football, as he is very passionate about it, and we have great discussion just about how his team\u2019s is doing.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe talked about how\u00a0Arsenal\u00a0was playing, obviously he\u2019s from\u00a0Manchester, so that\u2019s his dream, that\u2019s his dream home, that\u2019s where you come from. But there\u2019s no other, there\u2019s no further information I can give you on that.\u201d<\/p>\n
Despite intense speculation at the start of the season that\u00a0Ratcliffe\u00a0could launch a bid for the Old Traford side, so far nothing\u2019s come to fruition.<\/p>\n
