Just didn\u2019t make the putts early and the middle part of the round when I had those opportunities. And they weren\u2019t very hard putts, I just hit bad putts and obviously had a very bad finish, too.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Woods \u2014 who had to publicly apologize for handing Justin Thomas a tampon after he outdrove him on Thursday \u2014 is playing in his first competitive tournament since the British Open at St Andrews last summer as he continues to recover from a car crash that nearly cost him his legs.<\/p>\n<p>The 82-time PGA Tour winner is 12 shots behind leader Max Homa (-11).
