{"id":415995,"date":"2023-02-19T11:29:07","date_gmt":"2023-02-19T16:29:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/7sport.net\/ca\/?post_type=news&#038;p=415995"},"modified":"2023-03-01T09:59:44","modified_gmt":"2023-03-01T14:59:44","slug":"cardinals-hire-drew-petzing-as-offensive-coordinator","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/7sport.net\/en\/news\/cardinals-hire-drew-petzing-as-offensive-coordinator\/","title":{"rendered":"Cardinals hire Drew Petzing as offensive coordinator"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>New <a href=\"https:\/\/7sport.net\/en\/nfl\/team\/arizona-cardinals\/\">Arizona Cardinals<\/a> named Drew Petzing as their offensive coordinator, the NFL club announced on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Last season, the 35-year-old Petzing was the <a href=\"https:\/\/7sport.net\/en\/nfl\/team\/cleveland-browns\/\">Cleveland Browns<\/a> quarterbacks coach, following two season as tight ends coach there.<\/p>\n<p>One of his major tasks in Arizona, where he will work under head coach Jonathan Gannon, will be to design an offense for quarterback <a href=\"https:\/\/7sport.net\/en\/nfl\/player\/kyler-murray\/\">Kyler Murray<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Petzing started his NFL career as an intern with the Browns in 2013, then spent six seasons on the staff of the <a href=\"https:\/\/7sport.net\/en\/nfl\/team\/minnesota-vikings\/\">Minnesota Vikings<\/a>, where he worked with Gannon, before returning to Cleveland in 2020.<\/p>\n<p>The Cardinals finished 4-13 last season under Kliff Kingsbury, who was sacked in January.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>New Arizona Cardinals named Drew Petzing as their offensive coordinator, the NFL club announced on Sunday.
