{"id":416511,"date":"2023-02-21T15:32:01","date_gmt":"2023-02-21T20:32:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/7sport.net\/ca\/?post_type=news&#038;p=416511"},"modified":"2023-02-21T17:18:14","modified_gmt":"2023-02-21T22:18:14","slug":"highest-scoring-nba-games-in-2022-23-season","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/7sport.net\/en\/news\/highest-scoring-nba-games-in-2022-23-season\/","title":{"rendered":"Highest scoring NBA games in 2022-23 season"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The NBA is in the midst of an incredible scoring explosion.<\/p>\n<p>As of Feb. 21, there have been 17 games in which a player has scored 50 points or more in the exciting 2022-23 season.<\/p>\n<p>Cleveland Cavaliers&#8217; Donovan Mitchell is at the top of this season&#8217;s scoring list after he poured in 71 points in his team&#8217;s first game of the new year.<\/p>\n<p>He became the seventh player in the NBA history to join the 70-point club and led Cleveland to a 145-134 overtime victory against the Chicago Bulls.<\/p>\n<div class=\"pop-out-eplayer-container pop-out-eplayer-container--preserve-size\">\n<div id=\"mplayer-embed\" class=\"mplayer-embed\">\n<div class=\"mplayer-styles-container\">Mitchell, however, is far from the only star to light up the scoreboard this season.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The Cavaliers ace&#8217;s 71-point outburst pushed him ahead of Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic, who posted a 60-point triple-double on Dec. 27. The Slovenian has already scored 50 or more points in four games this season.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-416515 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/7sport.net\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/donc-tayt-e1677011708420.jpg\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"\" width=\"680\" height=\"479\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>Milwaukee Bucks&#8217; Giannis Antetokounmpo, Philadelphia 76ers&#8217; Joel Embiid and Phoenix Suns&#8217; Devin Booker are the only other players to hit the 50-point threshold multiple times during the 2022-23 campaign.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s a look at the NBA players who have scored 50-plus points in a single game this season, in descending order from the highest total:<\/p>\n<p>1.
