A Red Bull spokesperson confirmed on Wednesday that Brown was at their factory.<\/p>\n<p>(via <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Independent?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">@Independent<\/a>) <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/9FNhnn4H0C\" target=\"_blank\">pic.twitter.com\/9FNhnn4H0C<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; RBR Daily (@RedBullUpdates) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RedBullUpdates\/status\/1628370508143116288?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">February 22, 2023<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>According to The Independent, McLaren CEO Zak Brown visited Red Bull\u2019s Milton Keynes factory earlier this month to hold exploratory talks with the reigning world champions.<\/p>\n<p>Red Bull are currently supplied by Honda but the world champions are creating their own engine division &#8211; Red Bull Powertrains &#8211; to supply the senior team and sister outfit AlphaTauri from 2026.<\/p>\n<p>American car giant Ford will partner Red Bull in the project.<\/p>\n<p>McLaren\u2019s engines are supplied by Mercedes and their current deal is set to run until the end of 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The Woking squad are contemplating their options from 2026 onwards and are understood to have also made initial contact with Honda over a possible F1 reunion.<\/p>\n<p>McLaren are also understood to have been in dialogue with Honda as the Japanese manufacturer weighs up a formal return to Formula 1 as an engine manufacturer in 2026.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re very happy with Mercedes,\u201d Brown said at McLaren\u2019s launch of their 2023 Formula 1 car.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have some time to decide what we want to do in 2026 and beyond, I think it\u2019s exciting for Formula 1 to have this many manufacturers coming into the sport.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think it shows the growth and excitement for the sport.
