World number one Novak Djokovic said on Wednesday he had recovered from a hamstring injury and announced he would play at the Dubai ATP tournament next week.<\/p>\n
“As regards the injury I sustained before the Australian Open, it has healed,” he told a news conference in Belgrade<\/p>\n
“I am getting closer to 100 percent intensity, but I am still not on that level. I have decided to play at the Dubai tournament.<\/p>\n
“I am travelling to Dubai tomorrow and I will be trying to get as far as possible. The ambitions are always the highest, regardless of the tournament.<\/p>\n
Djokovic added that he was still waiting for a response from the US about whether he would be able to play at the Indian Wells and Miami Masters.<\/p>\n
“I am waiting for a response, and I would like to go, but it is not in my hands,” he said. “I am getting ready, but we will see how things develop in the next two weeks.<\/p>\n
“I am glad to have received support from the directors of the Indian Wells and Miami tournaments. I hope the third party will give a positive response, too. That is all I can say.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
