Los Angeles Dodgers infielder Gavin Lux, who suffered torn ACL in the team’s spring training game against the San Diego Padres at Peoria Stadium in Arizona on Monday, is expected to miss the entire 2023 season, manager Dave Roberts announced on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
Manager Dave Roberts said\u00a0Lux, who the Dodgers were expecting to be their starting shortstop,\u00a0will undergo an MRI to identify the injury\u00a0and the team will evaluate his status from there.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat I did hear first off was from Gavin. There\u2019s some fear in there \u2014 the outside of the knee he heard something pop. And so obviously, you\u2019re always as a player thinking the worst,\u201d Roberts said.<\/p>\n
