We came out and were on our toes in the third period\u2014could have easily stretch the lead in the first part of that period.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Component-root-0-2-67 p Component-p-0-2-58\">&#8220;That didn\u2019t happen, but we responded well and were able to close out the game.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-428292 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/7sport.net\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/krak-blue.webp\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"\" width=\"764\" height=\"432\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p class=\"Component-root-0-2-67 p Component-p-0-2-58\">Joran Eberle and Brandon Tanev also scored for Seattle, and Vince Dunn had two assists. McCann\u2019s assist on Eberle\u2019s goal extended his point streak to five games, matching his career high.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Component-root-0-2-67 p Component-p-0-2-58\">Philipp Grubauer stopped 23 shots for the Kraken, who stayed ahead of Edmonton for third place in the Pacific Division \u2014 two points behind Los Angeles and Vegas.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Component-root-0-2-67 p Component-p-0-2-58\">Adam Boqvist and Patrik Laine each had a goal and an assist for Columbus, which has lost two of its last three games and remains in the NHL basement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Component-root-0-2-67 p Component-p-0-2-58\">\u201cIt wasn\u2019t like a terrible effort,\u201d Blue Jackets coach Brad Larsen said. \u201cI know there\u2019s another level of competitiveness at the puck that\u2019s going to be required.
