The Bundesliga holders Bayern Munich have managed to overcome a feisty Stuttgart side 2-1 away from home to go top of the league.<\/p>\n
Matthijs de Ligt opened the scoring in the 39th minute. Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting doubled the lead in the 62th minute and pretty much insured an easy ride for the defending champions en route to victory.<\/p>\n
There were some cause for concern, however, as Stuttgart struck late with Colombian forward Juan Jose Perea to narrow Bayern’s lead. That made for a tense closing stages, but eventually the stronger side prevailed.<\/p>\n
The win proved crucial for the visiting side as they were aiming to regain the lead in the Bundesliga table after Borussia Dortmund managed to beat Leipzig on Friday night.<\/p>\n
