One of them is UFC promoter Chael Sonnen. He says the doping in question was erythropoietin (EPO). This substance increases the number of red blood cells in the blood, which leads to increased availability of oxygen.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOther basketball players who hear what LeBron is doing will say it doesn&#8217;t matter. If you knew what these performance enhancers do, you&#8217;d know it matters. EPO matters, that&#8217;s why LeBron takes it.
