Cristiano Ronaldo has been picked in the Portugal’s squad for their European qualifiers games against Liechtenstein and Luxembourg later this month.<\/p>\n
The 38-year old’s future in the national squad was in serious doubt after fallout with ex-Portugal manager Fernando Santos in the World cup.<\/p>\n
Santos infamously dropped Ronaldo from the first team for their knockout games against Switzerland and Marocco. Ronaldo came off the bench in both games.<\/p>\n
New manager Roberto Martinez doesn’t seem to have issues with Ronaldo and still considers him as one of his best options.<\/p>\n
The Spanish coach said that Ronaldo is very important for the team and he doesn’t look at the age, when he picks up his players.<\/p>\n
Portugal play Liechtenstein in their home ground on 23 March, and pay a visit to Luxembourg three days later.<\/p>\n
