But all the drama was spared for the 2nd 45 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Joao Felix was the man to break the deadlock 7 minutes after the half-time interval. The Portuguese attacking midfielder drove past an excellent shot, which found the back of the net.<\/p>\n<p>The resilient Toffees levelled the scoring in the 69th minute through Abdoulaye Doucoure.<\/p>\n<p>The Liverpool side barely had time to celebrate when Reece James was fouled inside the box and Chelsea were awarded a penalty kick. Kai Havertz slotted it home comfortably to give the Blues from London a 2-1 lead.<\/p>\n<p>Sean Dyce&#8217;s men, however, refused to give up and late in the 88th they managed to draw the score level once again with a brilliant solo goal from substitution Ellis Simms.<\/p>\n<p>With this result Chelsea waste a solid opportunity to close in on the top 6, which would guarantee them an European football next season.
