India’s Rohan Bopanna became the oldest tennis player to win an ATP Masters title after he and Australia’s Matthew Ebden triumphed in the Indian Wells men’s doubles final over top-ranked Dutch pair Wesley Kohlhof and Britain’s Neil Skupsky 6-3, 2 :6, 10:8.<\/p>\n

At 43, Bopanna became the oldest Masters champion, surpassing Canadian Daniel Nestor, who won the Cincinnati Masters in 2015 at the age of 42.<\/p>\n

Bopanna attributes his longevity in tennis to coffee from his family’s plantation in the southern Indian state of Karnataka, which he says he consumes daily.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt’s an Indian coffee that I drink all the time when I travel. That’s the secret. The most important thing is to be able to recover after matches and coffee really helps me with that,\u201d Bopanna said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
