I give them a lot of credit, and you\u2019re on the road so you\u2019re always a swing away. But we did enough to win, and that\u2019s what we set out to do so it makes for a good day.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Seth Brown hit a tying, two-run homer with two outs in the ninth off Cleveland closer Emmanuel Clase (1-0).<\/p>\n<p>Brown had an automatic strike to his name for a pitch-clock violation as the batter was charged for taking too much time. He himself was on a verge of receiving a penalty by right fielder Will Brennan to end the seventh.<\/p>\n<p>Jace Peterson hit a three-run homer in the second and Ram\u00f3n Laureano added a two-run drive in the fifth for the Athletics, but they wasted a solid 6-2 lead for James Kaprielian. Oakland rookie Ryan Noda doubled and singled in his first career start as a first base<\/p>\n<p>The Oakland team find themselves in a losing streak of three after the win over Angels on opening day.
