Lance Stroll<\/a> expressed his delight of his team’s best ever finish with Fernando Alonso<\/a> clinching yet another podium and the Canadian finishing behind him in fourth.<\/p>\n

However, Stroll remarked that his team should feel blessed that both cars managed to get over the line in one piece as real mayhem enrolled at Albert Park.<\/p>\n

Stroll lined up sixth for the final restart after Kevin Magnussen<\/a>‘s\u00a0 crash triggered a second red flag for the day, three places behind teammate Alonso.<\/p>\n

Both of them became victims of a ongoing track accidents, as the experienced Spaniard was clipped from the back from fellow compatriot Carlos Sainz, sending him into the wall, while Stroll completely missed his braking for turn 3 and scampered into the run-off area.<\/p>\n

Luckily for them a third red flag was waved, meaning the grid had to restore their places in the order prior to the second red flag as the first sector wasn’t yet crossed.<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, I mean, it was a funny race. I think we got away with some stuff going wrong at the end.\u201d reflected Stroll.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had my big lock-up, and I was kind of running in third, and then I went off the track just with the tyres being super cold, and Fernando got hit and spun.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThen you know, we lucked out with the timing of the red flags, so yeah\u2026 we\u2019ll take it, some good points.\u201d<\/p>\n
