Erling Haaland will be available for Manchester City’s game against Southampton on Saturday, said head-coach Pep Guardiola.<\/p>\n
The Norwegian striker picked up a groin injury just before the international break, which sidelined him for his team’s 4-1 victory over Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium last weekend.<\/p>\n
Guardiola confirmed that the 22-year old will be in the team’s squad, which is great news for the Citizens, as they will be facing a crunch Champions League 1\/4 final against Bayern Munich next week.<\/p>\n
\u201c(He) trained in the last two days, really good. (He) will be ready,\u201d Guardiola said at a pre-match press conference.<\/p>\n
\u201cBayern Munich is the last thought. It\u2019s Southampton. Premier League is every day, every week,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
Haaland has scored a remarkable 42 goals this season across all competitions. He needs two more to equal the record for most goals scored by a player in England (held by Ruud van Nistelroy and Mo Salah). In his last two outing for City the Norwegian managed to bag a staggering 8 goals in total, including a memorable, record equalling 5 goals in the Champions League.<\/p>\n
