Barcelona are targeting a return for Thiago Alcantara to the Nou Camp, according to reports.<\/p>\n
The Catalan giants have prepared a shortlist of five midfield stars which they will be trying to lure in their quest to bolster their squad.<\/p>\n
Alcantara made his breakthrough in football in Barcelona, playing alongside current manager Xavi, before leaving for Bayern Munich in 2013.<\/p>\n
He made 101 appearances for the Nou Camp team and with Bayern he managed to bag home 7 Bundesliga titles and a Champions League trophy before joining Liverpool in 2020.<\/p>\n
However, recently the 31-year old has struggled with injuries and hasn’t featured since Februrary. In his absence Liverpool have managed to win only four out of their 10 games.<\/p>\n
Adding Thiago to his squad, gives manager Xavi much brighter options in attacking midfielder as they will be targeting a Champions League glory next season.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
