New York Mets owner Steve Cohen has decided to change the new outlook of the uniforms, with which the team went out in the opening day of the MLB.<\/p>\n
The part of the uniform in question is the red-and-white color patch that the Mets wore in their game against Miami Marlins. However, those color combinations were deemed unacceptable as they resembled those of their main rival Philadelphia Phillies.<\/p>\n
The club announced the sponsorship agreement and showed off the new uniform patches in a photo online.<\/p>\n
Cohen, the Mets\u2019 owner, said he had an email exchange with NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital CEO Steven J. Corwin and they agreed to make a change from now onwards.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey\u2019re Phillie colors. And he agreed and I agreed they should be more Met-appropriate,\u201d Cohen said before Friday\u2019s game.<\/p>\n
