City will play 8 more matches until the end of the season, and Erling only needs one more goal to be alone at the top.<\/p>\n<p>Andy Cole with Newcastle (93-94) and Alan Shearer with Blackburn (94-95) each scored 34 goals in Premier League but in a 42-match season \u2013 4 more than the current format.<\/p>\n<p>The Norwegian forward netted the record goal in the 25<sup>th<\/sup> minute against the Foxes at Etihad Stadium.
