Manchester City’s comfortable 3-1 win over Leicester will be the last outing for Pep Guardiola’s men in the Premier League, until the crunch title showdown with Arsenal on April 26.<\/p>\n
Up until then the Gunners will have the opportunity to go 9 points clear if they defeat West Ham on Sunday and Southampton on April 21 as City are due to miss the next round because of the 1\/2 finals of the FA Cup.<\/p>\n
However, as settling as that seems, Mikel Arteta’s men will be under severe pressure as a potential loss at Etihad on April 26 would mean City will technically leapfrog the Gunners atop of the Premier League. And it is an undeniable truth – if City were to be victorious in their upcoming 8 League games the titles will be theirs, barring a miracle that may see Arsenal overturn a 7-goal deficit in goal difference.<\/p>\n
Speaking on the matter, Guardiola said:<\/p>\n
“Like I said in the previous press conference, it is to win win win,”<\/p>\n
“They [Arsenal] have had an incredible run so far this season, I don’t think they will drop many points and we have to be in there.<\/p>\n
“It is important for us to arrive at the match by winning today and it is a final against them in the next Premier League game.”<\/p>\n
