FIA have announced that a hearing, concerning Carlos Sainz’ penalty in the Australian Grand Prix review will be held on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Sainz finished the race 4th, but a 5-second penalty for a collision with compatriot Fernando Alonso<\/a> dropped him way down the order in 12th, out of the points.<\/p>\n

Ferrari have requested a review to be made by the FIA as the penalty was deemed ‘too severe’ by Sainz and Vassour’s take is that the three incidents, that occurred in the second restart were treated differently.<\/p>\n

The FIA confirmed that they have received a letter from Nikolas Tombazis, the FIA\u2019s Single-seater Director, including an attached petition from Ferrari dated April 6, seeking a review of the penalty decision.<\/p>\n

Sainz, along with Ferrari team representatives, are required to report to the stewards for the virtual hearing at 0800 CET on April 18.<\/p>\n
