The Seattle Kraken<\/a>‘s top goalscorer Jared McCann has been ruled out for Game 5 against Colorado Avalanche<\/a> due to injury picked in Game 4, the team announced.<\/p>\n

McCann was hit by Avalanche defenseman Cale Makar and had to limp off the pitch. Straight after the game it was clear that the 26-years old’s condition is not good and he won’t be able to feature for the next encounter.<\/p>\n

\u201cLate hit. Really late. No puck in play. Our 40-goal scorer not available for the rest of the game,\u201d Settle\u2019s coach Dave Hakstol commented in frustration.<\/p>\n

Makar was apologetic and hoped that McCann was fine, stating the incident was just “unfortunate”.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a hockey play. I\u2019m assuming he was going to the corner because it was coming down. I didn\u2019t really look. Just unfortunate how that happened,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Makar was given a 5-minute major penalty at first, but then it got reduced to 2-minute minor. Hakstol expectedly disagreed with the decision.<\/p>\n
