{"id":434393,"date":"2023-04-26T07:38:39","date_gmt":"2023-04-26T11:38:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/7sport.net\/ca\/?post_type=news&#038;p=434393"},"modified":"2023-04-26T03:47:20","modified_gmt":"2023-04-26T07:47:20","slug":"jets-gm-says-team-is-comfortable-with-rodgers-deal-terms","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/7sport.net\/en\/news\/jets-gm-says-team-is-comfortable-with-rodgers-deal-terms\/","title":{"rendered":"Jets&#8217; GM says team is &#8216;comfortable with Rodgers deal terms&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/7sport.net\/en\/nfl\/team\/new-york-jets\/\">New York Jets<\/a> officially got the four-time National Football League most valuable player <a href=\"https:\/\/7sport.net\/en\/nfl\/player\/aaron-rodgers\/\">Aaron Rodgers<\/a> after agreeing a deal with the <a href=\"https:\/\/7sport.net\/en\/nfl\/team\/green-bay-packers\/\">Green Bay Packers<\/a> that includes a swap of key draft picks, General Manager Joe Douglas said on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Under the agreement for 39-year-old Rodgers, Green Bay will trade their 2023 first-round draft pick (15th overall) and their fifth-round pick for the Jets&#8217; first-round pick (13th overall), second-round and sixth-round picks, according to ESPN.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Obviously, we&#8217;re comfortable with how this deal shaped,&#8221; Douglas said. &#8220;I don&#8217;t think anyone ever walks away from a negotiation where you feel like you won everything in terms of what&#8217;s gone back and forth. Our goal from the beginning was to add Aaron to the team, so we were able to get that.
