{"id":434818,"date":"2023-05-04T05:12:07","date_gmt":"2023-05-04T09:12:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/7sport.net\/ca\/?post_type=news&#038;p=434818"},"modified":"2023-05-04T05:12:07","modified_gmt":"2023-05-04T09:12:07","slug":"mercedes-100-committed-to-keeping-hamilton-says-wolff","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/7sport.net\/en\/news\/mercedes-100-committed-to-keeping-hamilton-says-wolff\/","title":{"rendered":"Mercedes 100% committed to keeping Hamilton, says Wolff"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff stated that his team is fully committed in keeping 7-time World Champions <a href=\"https:\/\/7sport.net\/en\/formula-1\/driver\/lewis-hamilton\/\">Lewis Hamilton<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The comments come after heavy rumours swarmed the paddock at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix that Ferrari driver <a href=\"https:\/\/7sport.net\/en\/formula-1\/driver\/charles-leclerc\/\">Charles Leclerc<\/a> is likely to take the 38-year old&#8217;s seat.<\/p>\n<p>Hamilton contract expires at the end of this year and many have raised doubt whether he will remain with the Silver Arrows.<\/p>\n<p>When asked about the prospect of signing Leclerc, Wolff siad:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I think he\u2019s 100% committed and loyal to Ferrari and it\u2019s his contract and in the same way we are 100% committed to putting pen to paper with Lewis.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I think nobody doubts Charles\u2019s ability and he\u2019s a good guy. The only time I talked to him was to ask where the gate is in Melbourne to board the plane.
