{"id":434855,"date":"2023-05-05T03:35:22","date_gmt":"2023-05-05T07:35:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/7sport.net\/ca\/?post_type=news&#038;p=434855"},"modified":"2023-05-05T03:35:22","modified_gmt":"2023-05-05T07:35:22","slug":"bucks-and-budenholzer-part-ways-after-early-playoff-exit","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/7sport.net\/en\/news\/bucks-and-budenholzer-part-ways-after-early-playoff-exit\/","title":{"rendered":"Bucks and Budenholzer part ways after early playoff exit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Milwaukee Bucks have fired coach Mike Budenholzer a little over a week after their stunning first-round playoff loss to the Miami Heat, which spoiled a season where\u00a0 they owned the NBA\u2019s best record.<\/p>\n<p>Budenholzer\u2019s firing comes just two years after he led the Bucks to their first NBA title in half a century.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe decision to make this change was very difficult,\u201d Bucks general manager Jon Horst said Thursday in a statement announcing the move. \u201cBud helped lead our team for five incredible seasons, to the Bucks\u2019 first title in 50 years, and into an era of sustained success.
