Crystal Palace have issued a ban on a spectator who has aimed a racial dig towards Tottenham Hotspur striker Son Heung-min.<\/p>\n
The incident occurred in Spurs 1-0 win at home on Saturday.<\/p>\n
The person in question was pictured making what seemed to be a racist gesture towards the South Korean player, when he was being substituted in the 89th minute.<\/p>\n
Since then Palace has taken immediate actions to tackle the issue.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are aware of a video circulating online (as well as reports made directly to us) regarding an individual in the away end at Spurs yesterday, appearing to make racist gestures towards Son Heung-min,\u201d the team said in a statement.<\/p>\n
\u201cEvidence has been shared with the police, and when he is identified, he will face a club ban. We will not tolerate such behavior in our club.\u201d<\/p>\n
This is not the first case for racial abuse aimed at Son, who was also abused in August in a game against Chelsea. Back then the Blues supporter was banned for three years following an investigation by the Crown Prosecution Service.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
