Blackhawks had the 3<sup>rd<\/sup> best chance to win the 1<sup>st<\/sup> overall pick this season at 12%.<\/p>\n<p>Chicago&#8217;s franchise is in rebuild mode, and because of that, they traded Kane to the NY Rangers, and captain Jonathan Toews also left the team as a free agent.<\/p>\n<p>Blackhawks are very optimistic after securing the first pick because that will allow them to select Bedard &#8211; a 17-year-old Canadian that specialists said the junior center is a generational hockey player.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m a little bit without words to be genuine, but really, really happy,&#8221; Chicago GM Kyle Davidson shared.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Chicago Blackhawks secured the 1st pick after the NHL draft lottery and can add the excellent Connor Bedard to their roster.
