Andrey Rublev sailed past Alex Molcan 6-3, 6-4 to progress to the 3rd round of the Italian open in the only match, played today as play was severely hampered due to heavy rain.<\/p>\n
The match was delayed by almost two hours and when play resumed it was the Russian, who asserted dominance on the court.<\/p>\n
The game was stopped once again in the first set and when it was resumed for the second time the 6th-seeded player tried to make the most of a dry court, before rain intervened once again.<\/p>\n
\u201cI can rest now and I can rest tomorrow. I don\u2019t need to stress waiting,\u201d said Rublev.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s very lucky when you are able to finish just before the rain and you know that most of the players still didn\u2019t play.\u201d<\/p>\n
