Brentford manager Thomas Frank expressed his full belief that star player Ivan Toney’s future lies within his current club.<\/p>\n
Toney was suspended for 8 month by the Football Asociation and, on top of that, given a \u00a350,000 fine. He will not be eligible to play until January 17 2024.<\/p>\n
“I’ve been in contact with him. He’s disappointed and sad about the situation,” said Frank.<\/p>\n
“His future is with Brentford, there’s no doubt about that.”<\/p>\n
Toney has the option to return to training in four month, meaning he can be at the training ground as early as September.<\/p>\n
“We are waiting for the information so we know what we can do. What he’s allowed to do, especially for the first four months,” added Frank.<\/p>\n
“He’s made some mistakes, but we need to be there, and want to be there, for him and help him. We just need to know what we are allowed to do.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
