Seven people have been punished in connection to two separate incident, involving racist abuse towards Real Madrid striker Vinicius Jr.<\/p>\n
Four men have been fined \u20ac60,000 and given an additional 2-year stadium ban for hanging an effigy of Vinicius in January after Real Madrid-Atletico Madrid game.<\/p>\n
The four men were released from prison on bail 11 days ago by the Madrid court.<\/p>\n
Another three people were fined \u20ac5,000 and received a one-year stadium ban for making racist gestures at the Mestalla Stadium in a game between Real and Valencia on May 21.<\/p>\n
Those three are between the ages of 18 and 21, as per police reports, and were detained two days after the game.<\/p>\n
All this comes after a massive backlash, which saw the Spanish football Federation heavily scrutinised for its integrity. Vinicius even claimed that the league belonged to “racist people”, which put a further dent on its image.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
