Forward Folarin Balogun posted a photo on Instagram in March and people figured out he was in Orlando, Florida, where the U.S. soccer team was training.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen the comments started coming in,\u201d he said, \u201cI was just kind of surprised … kind of overwhelmed.\u201d<\/p>\n
Balogun committed to the U.S. team in May and the 21-year-old forward is training with the Americans in Carson, California, ahead of\u00a0 CONCACAF Nations League semifinal against Mexico on June 15 at Las Vegas.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was an internal decision between myself, my family and my agent,\u201d he said. \u201cAt the end of the day, I just went with my heart.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cFlo is a really talented player that\u2019s going to bring a fiery edge to the group,\u201d said goalkeeper Matt Turner, Balogun\u2019s teammate at Arsenal last summer. \u201cHe\u2019s a super competitive guy.\u201d<\/p>\n
