AC Milan have paid tribute to former owner Silvio Berlusconi, who passed away at the age of 86 on Monday.<\/p>\n
The Italian bough the Milano club in 1986 and turned it into one of the most successful sides in Europe. Under his reign Milan won 5 European trophies and 8 Serie A titles.<\/p>\n
In 2017 the enigmatic tycoon sold the club to Chinese investors for 740m euros.<\/p>\n
In a online post AC Milan wrote: “Deeply saddened, AC Milan grieves the passing of the unforgettable Silvio Berlusconi and wishes to reach out to the family, associates, and most cherished friends to share our sympathies.”<\/p>\n
