Padres manager Bob Melvin was furious and even came out to argue, but his attempt to change the situation was unsuccessful.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">The Giants get the run due to a blocking the plate call on the Padres. Based on where he started, it looked like they showed the replay from when the throw was already on the way, and as a catcher, you have to have some feel for that. You\u2019ve got to also understand the impact and where the runner was.&#8221;, Melvin explained after the game.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo me, it was just one of the worst calls I\u2019ve seen this year.\u201d, he added.
