Alex De Minaur has defeated Holger Rune in straight sets 6-3, 7-6 (2) to reach his first final at Queen, where he will face either Carlos Alcaraz or Sebastian Korda on Sunday.<\/p>\n
The Australian was in the driving seat from the beginning as he was able to break Rune from the get-go. He was efficient at his serve and closed out the set effortlessly.<\/p>\n
Rune fought back in the second set and saved crucial break points in the 8th game, but De Minaur was excellent in the tie-break and wrapped up the match.<\/p>\n
“I love being here, love playing on this court in front of this amazing crowd,” De Minaur said.<\/p>\n
“It’s a pretty special tournament, today was my best match so far. So, happy days – one to go. It would be pretty nice to win, I’ll do my best.”<\/p>\n
