Aaron Judge has announced he will not be ready to play this weekend as he is still recovering from injury.<\/p>\n
The 31-year-old has revealed he is suffering from torn toe ligament in his right big toe.<\/p>\n
Judge sustained the injury on June 3, when he crashed into the wall at the Dodger Stadium, while trying to make a catch.<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t think too many people have torn a ligament in their toe,\u201d Judge said. \u201cIf it was a quad we\u2019d have a better answer. If it\u2019s an oblique or hamstring we got timelines for that. With how unique this injury is and it being my back foot which I push off of and run off of, it\u2019s a tough spot.\u201d<\/p>\n
Judge set an American League record with 62 home runs last year. He is hitting .291 with 19 homers and 40 RBIs in the first season of a $360 million, nine-year contract he agreed to during the offseason.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
