The New York Knick have declined Derrick Rose’s option for contract extension for the 2023-24 season, meaning the point guard is set to become free agent, reports say.<\/p>\n
Rose is on the end of two-year deal with the Knicks and had an option for extension for another year, worth $15.6 million.<\/p>\n
If the veteran is not acquired, then the Knicks will still be open to bring him back on a lesser salary, according to the Popper’s report.<\/p>\n
Rose made just 53 appearances over the past two years. Last campaign he averaged a career-low 5.6 points in just 12.5 minutes per game.
