He also equaled Daniil Medvedev for number of titles in 2023 &#8211; five each.<\/p>\n<p>The Spaniard defeated Alex De Minaur 2:0 (6:4; 6:4) and with his win will return to the world number spot starting next week.<\/p>\n<p>The first break opportunity for either player came in the eighth game of the first set, when De Minaur twice reached break point, but Alcaraz was able to break free. The Spaniard saved his service game and answered with a break that allowed him to win the first part with 6:4.<\/p>\n<p>After the end of the first set, Alcaraz was given a medical timeout and his hip was taped.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Is Alcaraz&#8217;s serve deadly enough for grass? An exchange of games ensued before the Spaniard served for the match. In his decisive service game, he committed two errors leading to 0:30 and the tension wash high, but with two great serves he got to 30:30 and then took a 40:30 lead.
