Mallett was a football coach at White Hall High School in his native Arkansas, and the school district also confirmed his death in a post on its website on Tuesday. Mallett also played for New England, Houston and Baltimore during five seasons in the NFL.<\/p>\n<p>Arkansas athletic director Hunter Yurachek said the university \u201clost an incredibly special person.\u201d\u201cOur thoughts and prayers are with the family, friends and teammates of Ryan Mallett.\u201d. New England coach Bill Belichick was also shocked by the news, saying he&#8217;s \u201cextremely saddened by Ryan\u2019s tragic passing.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Tom Brady mourns the loss of his former teammate Ryan Mallett:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe lost a great man.
