Lewis Hamilton expressed his displeasure with the current Red Bull dominance, suggesting the FIA should take action by implementing new rules, which will halt the Austrians’ progress.<\/p>\n
Hamilton stated that Red Bull are already focusing on the 2024 car development as they are so far ahead in 2023 that they don’t need any more work.<\/p>\n
‘The FIA should set a time when everyone is allowed to start developing next year’s car.’ he said.<\/p>\n
‘Say August 1, so that no one can get an advantage, because that sucks.’<\/p>\n
Verstappen was quick to react, saying no such things were discussed, when Mercedes was at the peak of their dominance in the 2014-2020 period.<\/p>\n
‘We were not talking about this when he was winning his championships, right, so I don’t think we should now.’ Verstappen said<\/p>\n
‘That is how Formula One works. When you have a competitive car it is great, but at some point you have to look ahead to the following year.’<\/p>\n
