The Nashville Predators have decided to buy out Matt Duchene’s 3-years left in his contract and have made him a free agent.<\/p>\n

Duchene is the latest player to leave the Predators after former coach Barry Trotz took over the club. Ryan Johansen was also traded to Colorado earlier this month.<\/p>\n

The 32-year-old signed a 7-year-contract back in 2019, worth $56m in total.<\/p>\n

The Predators are aiming to balance their salary cap and that is the reason they decided to let him go.<\/p>\n

Duchene made 71 appearances last season, scoring 22 goals and capping 34 assists along with 56 points.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
