WTA Chairman and CEO Steve Simon said on Friday that he visited that country with some players in February as part of the evaluation process.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a very difficult and very challenging topic that\u2019s being, obviously, measured by many, many different groups right now,\u201d Simon said.<\/p>\n<p>He confirmed there \u201care still tons of issues in Saudi Arabia\u201d with regard to women\u2019s rights and LGBTQ+ rights and that is something that holds back the possibility for a tournament there.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve had conversations.
