Players can still re-ink with their franchises before their hearing to avoid arbitration.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Ilya Samsonov is the only <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Leafs?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">#Leafs<\/a> player to file for arbitration.<\/p>\n<p>The simple act of having a player file will open up a second buyout period for Toronto once the case is awarded or settled.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 David Alter (@dalter) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/dalter\/status\/1676701740253544449?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">July 5, 2023<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Samsonov inked a 1-year, 1.8 million dollar contract with Toronto in the summer of last year after the Capitals declined to qualify him.<\/p>\n<p>Swayman finished his 2<sup>nd<\/sup> full campaign in the league as he had to share the net with the 2023 Vezina Trophy champ Linus Ullmark.<\/p>\n<p>Franchises can still file for arbitration with their eligible players, as they have less than 24 hours to do that.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Here&#8217;s a list of the 22 NHL players that have filed for salary arbitration.
