We gave it our all and did what we could, but obviously it wasn&#8217;t enough.&#8221; Perez also said.<\/p>\n<p>The Mexican remains Verstappen&#8217;s closest challenger and despite the double world champion&#8217;s dominance, he managed to increase the distance between himself and Aston Martin&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/7sport.net\/en\/formula-1\/driver\/fernando-alonso\/\">Fernando Alonso<\/a>, who now trails by 19 points.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I have full support from the team, mentally I am very strong and I know I will overcome these problems and turn my season around.
