The Arizona Coyotes are set to terminate Alex Galchenyuk’s contract, just twelve days after signing him on a one-year deal.<\/p>\n
The reason behind it is the alleged arrest of the forward, which has occurred on June 9 for private property hit and run, disorderly conduct, failure to obey, resisting arrest, and threatening or intimidating. The Scottsdale PD further said Galchenyuk’s hit-and-run featured “only property damage and no injuries.”<\/p>\n
All of these charges are yet to be proven in court.<\/p>\n
As things stand the Coyotes announced their new player has been put on the waivers to terminate his contract, but refused to elaborate the situation.<\/p>\n
Galchenyuk played 11 games with the Colorado Avalanche, failing to score in all matches, while receiving 4 penalty minutes.<\/p>\n
Playing for the Avalanche’s AHL affiliate, Galchenyuk fared much better, finishing with 16 goals and 26 assists for 42 points in 42 games.<\/p>\n
